Gutter Cleaning

Essential protection for your home. Quick, thorough, and affordable.
Over time, gutters fill with leaves, moss, and debris. When that happens, rainwater can’t flow properly, leading to leaks, damp, mould, and costly water damage to your roofline and walls.
On this page we hope to give you as much information as possible, so that you can make an informed decision on whether your property needs our service.
What are gutters & why they're important?
In its simplest form, a gutter is a thin trough that helps funnel rainwater away from your property. The majority of gutters are made from PVC, though some properties may have metal gutters made from aluminium or cast iron. These gutters are connected to downpipes or downspouts, which carry water from the roofline to the ground drains and into the sewage system.
Gutters play a vital role in protecting your property from costly water damage problems such as mould, damp, weakened foundations and more.

Key Signs Your Gutters Are Blocked
Visible plant growth
This may be the most obvious sign your gutters are blocked. If you can see plants growing out of your gutters, especially from ground level, then more than likely the roots will impede the flow of water from reaching the downpipes, causing it to pool up and leak onto the brickwork, which can cause serious problems if left unchecked.
Sagging or pulling away from the fascia board
If you can see that your gutters are visibly sagging or dipping, this means that they are full of debris such as leaves, moss, etc. Sagging gutters should be cleared sooner rather than later to avoid the gutters pulling away from the fascia board completely and causing damage to the wall and roof.
! Did You Know: 20 feet of guttering can hold up to 200 lbs in weight.
Overflowing when raining
If you notice your gutters are overflowing when it is raining, then debris such as leaves, moss or broken roof tiles may be blocking the downpipes, causing an overflow of rainwater, allowing it to run down the brickwork, which can cause staining or even worse, damp.
Rainwater dripping from joints
If you notice rainwater dripping from your gutters, this may be caused by misaligned sections of the gutter, damaged seals in the joint or even a small crack.
